Crocheting for Me

I've been so busy getting inventory done and orders made that I haven't crocheted anything for myself in quite a while. In the last two weeks, I have corrected that. It's so nice to be wearing something I've made again. It gives me a warm, pleased feeling.

I do not have a picture of the shrug I made for a particular dress and I will try to get one and post it soon. I do have a picture of each of the skirts I've made myself.
This brown one has open work in it. At the office i wore brown leggings underneath it and they were actually quite attractive that way. Outside the office I wore shorts under it. It could also be used as a bathing suit coverup. 100% acrylic. Not my design and the pattern can be found here.
This skirt I made to match the shirt. I ran out of the original green yarn but had one almost identical had the house. It does appear lighter in this photo. It isn't, however, that noticeable in person. Go figure. It has very few open stitches in it but I do have a half slip on under it at the office. The skirt, my design, was made to wear with the shirt. 100 % cotton.

I'm happy enough with the results that I modeled for my blog! I don't generally model.

Booth Pictures from Festival

I needed to display my wares differently this time out. It was my tent and any rules to what could and couldn't be hanged from the tent didn't apply. I was looking for a way to have things on display that didn't require a person to be interested enough to take the initiative of browsing a rack of clothes.

And it doesn't hurt at all to change things up each time out, or during the day for that matter.

Finished the Afghan

I committed to donating my time in crocheting an afghan to a charity. They will be putting this up for auction. The pattern is from the Annie's Attic 2012 Calendar.

I just couldn't get the color to come out correctly in the first shot but, it shows the detail of the edges.

0-3 Months Dress

I'm in the process of making a few Easter dresses to sell at my showing each week. This past week I brought out my first one. It's a pretty spring green from Caron Simply Soft.

Here is the pattern I used.

Bicycle Seat Cover

Saw this pattern online and the next day my son told me I needed to make them to sell in my booth because so many people in this city ride bicycles. I made it in one of the college team colors for the first one.

My New Buddy

She doesn't have a name yet. We are working on that. But when she models my crocheted works she gives them a flair that they don't otherwise have. Who is she? My new mannequin!

A new scarf I made for charity.

A sweater I made but haven't posted yet.
And a prior work shared that really looks nice now.

Modeling Their Gifts

My aunt was sweet enough to send me a picture of her grandchildren modeling the sweaters I made. The children are so cute!

Finished Objects

I have pictures of a few FO of the many I did this season that I can share with you.

I suppose we can start with the shortened version of the vest I have made. I shortened it for my sister and made it small and short for my niece. She seems happy with it.

Now her mother's version.
This side of my family is so very good about actually modeling their things for me! I can't thank them enough.

I also made Mary a cowl. They live in California put certain times of the day can get windy and chilly I have been told. She layers well.

She can wear a hat of any kind. Actually both she and her daughter can. I like to make hats for them and should do it more often.

I've made cowls for my mom and one of my other sisters and couple for me. I just do not have pictures of these yet.

Here is my baby sister in hers. I have such beautiful sisters.
Now for my beautiful mother.

I made a few hats and scarves for some men.My oldest.

Here's a sweater I made for myself!

And fingerless mittens. I've given most of them away already but here is a pair (well one of a pair) I kept for myself.

I finished the sweaters for Aunt Mary's grandchildren!

I've had an order in for these for a while now but, since they are Christmas gifts, other things got completed first.

Aunt Mary chose a pattern but, I really should have tested it before letting it be the one she chose from. Some things were not well written for me and some things I didn't like and some things just weren't working correctly since she wanted a solid color and this pattern was stripped.

I ended up modifying the pattern so much that I will not even list it here and it basically ended up being a new one. I should have written it down as I went along. I know this. I just am so lax in doing that. I don't keep good records of things I have made in case I need to go back and make another for someone else. I need to make that a goal of mine to get better.

Any way, here they are and I really hope she likes them.

Matching Shrugs for Sisters

I have a shrug like this one and I've given a couple as gifts. These are the first two I have sold.

Though I only took a a picture of one, sister got it just a like color and size.

She had her birthday!

Gwendolyn's birthday was Saturday and she opened her gifts. She called and told me they were adorable!

I myself am a bit disappointed. The pants are too short. How did I mess up on that? I have trouble getting the gauge sometimes but it's always bigger. I have to use smaller hooks to get it right.

Here at the pics.
